The Dahlia Fairy

The Dahlia Fairy was found in Fort Collins, Colorado in the CSU Flower Trial Garden in the fall of 2021.  The Dahlia is a native of Mexico and Central America.  Dahlias were introduced to Europe in the late 1700s where many cultivated varieties were created.  With a little imagination and concentration, you can see the Dahia’s pink fairy face.  In center of the flower, one eye is exposed and the other covered with a petal lash.  Two large pink petals create the feel and look of eyebrows.  A long white nose in the center core can be imagined.
